About My Clients
The early adult years can be the most challenging of one’s life. It is common to need support as we adjust to countless new experiences; navigating relationships, loneliness, school/careers, self-esteem/body image, and finding motivation and direction.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style is validating and understanding; I utilize a relational-cultural and trauma-informed approach to healing. Clients often come to me with some knowledge of coping skills and are looking for longer-term solutions. Together we can find effective ways to help you move towards confidence and inner-peace. I have worked in the mental health field for over six years and have experience treating teens and young adults with eating disorders, mood & anxiety disorders, substance use, and other trauma-related challenges. I also have specialized experience supporting the LGBTQ+ community. My training is in DBT, Family Systems, Attachment Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I recognize that everyone needs support and act as a companion and a mentor. As a multiracial woman in the US, I recognize the strong desire and need to find your true identity and sense of belonging. If no one has told you today, I am proud of you. It takes courage to expand your circle and connect with a new therapist. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if we are a good match for each other. I look forward to meeting you!
