About My Clients
I work extensively with individual and couples from a variety of races, gender identities, sexual orientations, and cultural backgrounds. I provide individual and couples treatment with speciality in trauma informed practices, internal family systems, and cognitive theory.
My Background and Approach
I started my career in the visual arts and found my passion for connecting with people and uncovering hidden stories through artwork. I made the shift into therapeutic work by volunteering with children living with cancer and using photographic art to tell their stories. I attended social work school at New York University and this step affirmed my passion for being present with someone on their healing journey. As a therapist, I use an interactive and curious approach when working with clients. My practice is based on an eclectic approach consisting of various evidence-based practices, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness. However, I find therapy is most effective when approached as a collaborative process that involves an appreciation for each client’s unique strengths and challenges.
