About My Clients
Are you a parent struggling to keep up with daily life and all that comes with it? Are you quick to react when you want to respond to your kids with intention? Many of us struggle with burnout and feeling overwhelmed in our role as parents. So often we put our own needs last in order to serve our families first. Taking care of others is hard work and as parents we need to carve out time to take care of ourselves. This is where I can help!
My Background and Approach
I work collaboratively with parents using my occupational therapy training and a coaching approach in order to identify the real source of your daily stress and improve your self-awareness so you can tune into your own needs. I can help you learn ways to regulate your brain and body (proactively and in-the-moment) and simplify life to free up space for what really matters. I also help you work through real life logistics and devise a tangible action plan each session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Imagine a ship anchored in a harbor, open to the sea. The anchor needs to be tight enough to keep the ship secured, but not so tight that the ship can’t move and adjust to the waves. The chain links of the anchor also need to be strong, otherwise the ship can break away. In life, we must take care of our biological, social, emotional, physiological, and neurological needs in order to maintain strong chain links and remain safely anchored. Although we can’t control the weather or the waves of the ocean, we can take steps to be prepared for whatever storms come our way. I’m passionate about helping people learn more about themselves in order to better navigate the ebb and flow of daily life. Contact me to discuss how we can work together.
