About My Clients
Whether they have moved away from their hometown, started a new job, ended a relationship, or experienced a significant loss, we work together so that they have control over their life. I also help people create the change they want to see in their relationships, career, and healing. Our work together is determined by what they prioritize so that they’re always in the driver’s seat and I’m in the passenger seat with the map and the provisions.
My Background and Approach
I am certified in anxiety treatment, a grief-informed professional, and currently training as a somatic therapist. My approach integrates ACT, CBT, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy—this blend helps clients identify the challenges they’re facing, live in alignment with their values, and build skills and confidence in navigating challenges in life and relationships. Through our work together, clients discover wisdom-based practices that benefit them and what can be added to their wellness toybox (e.g., somatics, mindfulness meditation and breathwork). Counseling services are person-centered. After intake procedures, sessions will begin with what the client wants to bring to the space. I will periodically check in with clients every few months or so to discuss how sessions are going and what the client may want more or less of, to ensure that services continue to benefit them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, abolitionist, and advocate for collective liberation, my work is done through a lens of social justice and understanding the ways in which oppressive systems impact clients’ day-to-day life.
