About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck in life lately? Feeling extremely on edge, worried and anxious about the state of the world and how to move forward? Having a bunch of different emotions after experiencing a death or loss and are not sure who to talk to about it? You came to the right place, and I appreciate your vulnerability in getting here. I am extremely passionate working with grief and loss, and also love working with trauma, stress, college students, self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship issues.
My Background and Approach
Since I was a little girl and saw my first movie, all I wanted to do was be on stage, and that's exactly what I did. I received my BA in theater in 2010, chasing after the biggest dream I’d had in my whole life. And it didn't stop, either. After I graduated, I knew acting and dance weren't my biggest passions anymore. I took some time off to really re-evaluate my dreams and decide what the next years as an adult would look like for me. I knew I really enjoyed people and relationships. I knew I was a mentor to a lot of people in my life. It started clicking. In 2017, I graduated with my MS in Counseling and have truly never been happier. The therapeutic relationship is something so important to me as a therapist, and something I have seen my clients value in our times together. We will never move forward in sessions without that trust and safety. I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and as a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has a story that is worth being heard. I believe that so many people want and need their voices to be heard. I believe that what most people want in this world is to feel and be appreciated, understood, and to be enough. I believe and know that the world can be unfair, and can throw so much stuff at us that is beyond our control, and that we as human beings feel lost, anxious, fearful, depressed, and are not sure how to navigate those thoughts and feelings. I believe that therapy is a choice, and know at the same time that it does wonders for so many people out there. I believe in justice, equality, humanity, the good of people, connection, freedom. I believe in you.
