About My Clients
Have you ever been made to feel like you or your challenges are "too much"? Have you struggled to balance others' expectations with your own hopes & needs? As a trans therapist, I know how it feels not to follow a typical script. I work with clients who are navigating complex identities related to sexuality, gender, size, disability, neurodivergence, and more. My sessions are a space where you can show up as your full, authentic self and be held with compassion as we work toward your goals.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is compassionate, flexible, and gentle but direct. My work focuses on the connections between our minds, bodies, emotions, past experiences, and broader social systems. Together, we will identify your strengths and resources, build self-compassion, and develop practical skills to help you move through life with confidence and connection. I frequently incorporate tools like mindfulness, somatic exercises, artistic expression, and storytelling in addition to traditional talk therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to make change, and that even our most challenging parts are deserving of compassion and curiosity. I strongly believe in the value and dignity of every living being, and I support the right to liberation and self-determination for all peoples regardless of age, race, tribe, sexuality, gender, sex, religion, ability, size, class, or any other factor. At the same time, I recognize that all of us are existing in a culture steeped in -isms. I make an effort to actively educate myself and challenge the ways in which I uphold systems of oppression, and I am always learning and growing. I believe that it is not possible to address mental health without acknowledging the larger social systems that we exist in, and this perspective frequently shows up in my work.
