About My Clients
My clients include many teens and young adults who struggle with issues including anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, self-harm, and body and self-esteem issues. I also have adults and couples who come for help with parenting, marriage issues, life transitions, and a variety of other mental health issues. I also specialize in working with individuals seeking Christian counseling.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about helping others navigate difficult times in their lives, and I love to come alongside people to encourage and empower them to find hope and joy. Finding a counselor with compassion and understanding can help you go a long way in your healing process. I strongly value creating a non-judgemental space for you to feel safe and heard. My counseling style is varied, but includes a variety of techniques that help clients look to the past to understand the root causes of their issues and develop practical tools to help them move forward and heal. Therapy techniques I use most include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavorial Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfullness. For those specifically seeking Christian counseling, I will help you receive support from your beliefs as I walk alongside you on your journey knowing that with Christ by your side you are never alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
If you are going through challenges or trials in life, you may feel forever stuck, but I believe that you can work through whatever you are experiencing to find hope, joy, and healing. Trials challenge and wound us, some of us deeply, but people who have been through those experiences can also come to value life and value others far more. I believe in helping people who feel broken to feel not just “normal” or acceptable but instead uniquely treasured and valued.
