About My Clients
There are moments when everything changes. Someone you love dearly has died, illness arrives, a cherished part of your life is gone, or the way you know how to move through the world isn't working anymore. You realize you can't go back, but that doesn't stop you from dreaming about it. Together, we will work with tools to metabolize uninvited change. Making space for life—as it is in the here and now—opens a door toward a future full of vibrant possibilities, gently waiting for you to arrive.
My Background and Approach
We'll work with tools to reconnect with hidden and lost aspects of yourself. Often our suffering is intertwined with collective issues or developmental rites of passage, but we suffer alone, in the quiet shame of self-blame. I aim to help you unburden your mind, handing back to society what is not yours to hold, while exploring your inner world and creative life. I practice psychotherapy from a Jungian approach and am receiving ongoing continuing education in analytical psychotherapy. Jungian work is exploratory and achieves balance through creating a connection between the conscious and unconscious mind. Dream work is a great way to access the unconscious and can feature heavily in the work when desired. Working with dreams and the imagination can release creative blocks, tap into your psyche's capacity to heal, and renew your sense of being alive and fully, complexly, human.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We haven’t met, but I believe you belong on this planet. You have a right to a good life, full of meaning and purpose. Certain moments of life can rupture these basic moorings. The wells you’re used to drawing from come up dry. I incorporate spirituality into my work in flexible, pragmatic and definable ways. I’m sensitive to old religious injury and aim to facilitate a renewed, more alive relationship to spiritual experience. An example of faith for me, is what exists in the gap between what you can and can’t control. Spirituality: your place within the long arc of time, however you define it. These are just two ways into BIG topics. If we choose to work together, I’ll consider us co-explorers, inviting your words and experience. I’m also an astrologer and tarot reader of over 15 years. I incorporate these tools into our work as desired. Because the success of therapy is largely dependent on the relationship we build together, it’s important that the tools I use work for you.
