About My Clients
I work with individual clients who want to address sex and sexuality-related concerns. I provide a non-judgmental, sex-positive environment in which we can seek deeper understanding of their sexuality and barriers to experiencing a sense of sexual wholeness. Some topics I help my clients explore include: self-love and acceptance, painful sex, low sexual desire, premature and delayed orgasm, gender-dysphoria, sexual trauma, sex and medical issues, postpartum sex, and hypersexual behaviors.
My Background and Approach
Let's "sit crooked and talk straight" about sexual health. ABOUT ME: I am a mental health counselor with a provisional license in New York State. I have a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from The University at Buffalo. I am currently pursuing professional certification in Sex Therapy. My clinical background is in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in which I balance providing empathetic understanding with guiding behavioral changes to help my clients achieve their therapy goals. FOCUSING ON SEX: For those of us fortunate enough to have someone in our lives with whom we can discuss our sexuality, we know how valuable it is to be able to share our experiences to ask questions without embarrassment. Many of us, however, are not so fortunate or have concerns that feel too personal to share with loved ones or too complex to resolve with internet searches and self-help books. In these circumstance, working with a therapist might provide the the insights or relief you're seeking.
