About My Clients
I love working with individuals and couples, particularly those from immigrant backgrounds, to improve the quality of their relationships. I specialize in the treatment of complex trauma and also work with helping professionals.
My Background and Approach
I am an attachment-based therapist, which means that I see the quality of our relationships as fundamental to our well-being. I use a combination of talk therapy and somatic approaches to help clients achieve their therapy goals. Some of the theory that informs my work includes attachment theory, critical cultural theory, and polyvagal theory. Some of the approaches I use are EMDR, Neuro-Affective Relational Model, Relational Life Therapy, and Reiki.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs that impact my work as a therapist center around the inherent dignity of every individual (and living thing). My work as a therapist is part of a larger movement to restore our humanity and build more egalitarian, sustainable social systems.
