About My Clients
Many of my clients have done significant therapy work. They understand themselves well. They're still stuck. They need something that works at the level of the body and nervous system, not just the narrative. I specialize in OCD that hasn't been recognized as OCD, including health anxiety and rumination. I also work with trauma, grief, and identity. Affirming care for LGBTQ+ folks, ENM, kink, and anyone who hasn't felt at home in traditional therapy spaces.
My Background and Approach
I work somatically, bringing attention to the body as a central part of the healing process. Lasting change happens in the nervous system, not just the mind. My modalities are EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS, ERP, and I-CBT, integrated within a trauma-informed and intersectional framework. For OCD I take a blended approach that addresses the whole person: the parts organized around the OCD, the reasoning that makes doubt feel believable, and the nervous system that needs capacity before it can tolerate uncertainty. I hold certifications in Integrative Somatic Trauma and Somatic EMDR through the Embody Lab. My background includes a degree in Feminist Studies and an MSW. I believe regulation isn't always the goal. For people navigating systemic oppression or collective stress, anxiety is often an accurate response to real conditions. I focus on building capacity without pathologizing reality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, not just assessed. I show up to this work with curiosity, warmth, and a deep commitment to meeting clients where they are, in their bodies, their identities, and their lives. I identify as white-bodied, queer, and disabled, and that shapes how I understand the systems my clients are navigating.
