About My Clients
The majority of my clients are young adults (ages 18-40) in the LGBTQ+ community. Most of my clients are trauma survivors. I have advanced training and experience in several trauma-informed approaches, including ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), internal family systems (IFS), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic (body-based) techniques, Phoenix Rising yoga therapy, the Trauma Integration Protocol (TIP), and mindfulness.
My Background and Approach
With acceptance, authenticity, and compassion, I practice an experiential approach to psychotherapy and encourage clients to actively address and explore hidden parts of themselves to gain greater self-awareness and cultivate transformation. I focus on each client's strengths and embrace a holistic model of care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe my personal experiences help me better understand and support my clients. I am queer, non-binary, a trauma survivor, and someone who lives with chronic illness. I have personal experience in both monogamous and poly relationships. I also believe it is important to acknowledge and explore issues in our society and how these issues impact mental health. These issues include racism, capitalism, ableism, sexism, classism, colonialization, homophobia, transphobia, and cisheteronormativity.
