As a member of the queer community I have always been drawn to becoming LGBTQIA+ affirmative in my own practice. Queer folks experience higher amounts of depression, anxiety, fatigue, imposter syndrome and gender dysphoria. Through completing the Sex Therapy Certificate at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and co-creating talks run through CIIS on queerness and sex positivity, I feel confident in working with gender exploration, identity reclamation and fluidity.
I have been trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Gestalt Therapy, and the Emotional Freedom Technique (emotional regulation through meridian tapping) to become more trauma-informed. I am currently training in DBT, EMDR, IFS and the Hakomi Method.
I completed the Sex Therapy Certificate Training at the California Institute of Integral Studies, deepening my awareness of kink specific topics and sex positive frame holding in the therapy room.
I completed my Master's at the California Institute of Integral Psychology with a degree in integral counseling psychology. My training focused on modalities such as transpersonal psychotherapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and somatic therapy.
Most of the modalities I have been trained in or are currently training in are trauma informed such as sensorimotor psychotherapy, IFS, and EMDR.
I completed my year long practicum training with clients practicing Gestalt Therapy at the Church Street Integral Counseling Center. I have hundreds of hours of Gestalt Therapy training and practice .
