About My Clients
Building a meaningful relationship with a new therapist can be nerve-wracking! It is important to me that I show up for each of my clients in an individualized, down-to-earth way. I often work with concerns such as depression, anxiety, adjustment to major life changes/events, and deep life reflection. I am a firm believer that a person's many identities play a large role in how they experience the world. I can only accept adult clients (age 18+) at this time.
My Background and Approach
My main goal in each session is to operate from a place of gentle curiosity, authentic presentation, and honest reflection. I see my role as a creator of space for you to show up as authentically as you can and begin to heal. I have supervised training in more reflective type therapies (Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal Processing Therapy) and often encourage self-reflection and self-acceptance as part of the therapeutic process. Most sessions involve a mutual conversation and space for you to feel, process, and digest your experiences and relationships. This process often alleviates symptoms and leads to more fulfilling experiences outside of our time together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a formally trained Multicultural Therapy psychotherapist, I find it incredibly important to honor and respect all cultures and identities. We all have cultural identities (seen and unseen) that inform how we view and navigate the world. I invite all my clients to discuss how their identities and the identities they observe in me impact their personal growth.
