About My Clients

You've been feeling tired lately. At the end of your day, you find yourself mindlessly scrolling on Instagram and TikTok with Netflix running in the background. You desire to experience true relaxation and enjoyment but aren’t exactly sure how to get there. Maybe you’ve experienced a life transition and aren't sure how to navigate it. That's where our work together comes in.

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is strength-based, culturally conscious and trauma-informed while utilizing somatic, mindfulness, movement and insight-oriented interventions. That is, I place an emphasis on developing a genuine connection with my clients in order to help them feel safe, notice what’s happening in their body, how to identify deeply rooted beliefs and how to find joy in play and rest. You are the expert in your life, and I work with you to figure out where you need support and what works best for you. I believe my clients already have the tools to deal with what they’re going through. I help them assess what has gotten in their way of using those tools and remind them of their power. I recognize that many of my clients’ hardships may have resulted from systemic oppression and other injustices; I serve as a safe space to explore and validate those experiences. My goal is to help you rediscover who you are, recognize your worth and unearth the power of your voice!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Growing up in a mostly traditional Mexican household as the oldest daughter definitely came with its challenges. I know what it feels like to feel like to have no voice, to be the "perfect" daughter or "example," and always people-please in order to keep the peace. This is why I am passionate about helping others who share a similar experience find their true voice and take back their power, while simultaneously having compassion for themselves and their caregivers. As I have navigated life and my career, I’ve learned how to recognize intergenerational trauma and how it presents in my daily life. I am still on this journey of discovery, unlearning and relearning, as I am human, just like you. It takes a continuous and conscious effort to stop the cycle. I hope to help you do the same.
