I have a background working in child welfare with a wide variety of children and families impacted by trauma. In addition to my experience working with individuals and families impacted by trauma, I have also been trained in EMDR, a specialized trauma treatment for people with specific and or complex trauma.

While working at a psychiatric group practice in Downtown Manhattan, I had the pleasure of working with many adults diagnosed with ADHD. Many of these people were newly diagnosed, so much of the work we did focused on developing direct, concrete skills related to executive function difficulties combined with the emotional consequences of having untreated ADHD. Additionally, I have worked with many pre-teens and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety or depression.

As an EMDRIA certified Therapist, we’ll use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help you safely reprocess the memories and triggers that keep your nervous system on high alert. I also have training in other therapies, and will draw from a blend of somatic exercises, IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed parts work, and mindfulness techniques and tailor them to what works best for your individual system and circumstance. It is a highly individualized process.

I completed specialized training through the Integrative Trauma Program at NIP in New York which shaped how I practice. I believe that no single modality fits every client, so I draw flexibly from EMDR, body-based work, and neuro-informed approaches based on what someone actually needs. This matters most for clients who've tried traditional talk therapy and felt like something was still missing. Integrative work lets treatment follow the person rather than a fixed script.

Trauma recovery is the center of my practice, backed by EMDRIA certification and specialized training through NIP's integrative trauma program. My expertise is in helping the body and nervous system catch up to present-day safety, not just talking about the past. Based on what I've seen, that's what creates real, lasting change rather than just temporary relief.
