My work emphasizes understanding how traumatic experiences impact the nervous system, emotions, and behavior over time. Therapy focuses on safety, regulation, and clarity—helping clients make sense of their responses, reduce shame, and build practical tools that support steadiness and choice in daily life.

My expertise in addiction comes from years of individual and group work in intensive outpatient settings supporting adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. I approach addiction as a maladaptive coping strategy shaped by trauma, stress, and nervous system dysregulation, focusing on reducing shame, strengthening regulation skills, and supporting sustainable recovery.

Therapy focuses on understanding how anxiety patterns developed, learning nervous system regulation skills, and building practical tools to reduce overwhelm. The goal is greater steadiness, clearer thinking, and more choice in daily life- not just managing symptoms, but changing the pattern.
