About My Clients
Often my clients come to therapy feeling at a loss- whether it’s a child or teen who is desperately trying to get their needs met but continuously feels unheard, parents who are having a hard time tolerating the various challenges that come along with raising a child or adolescent and finds themselves in constant conflict with their young one, or parents and caregivers who are finding it hard to balance what it means to be both a parent and partner. If this sounds like you, I am here to help.
My Background and Approach
My work with children and teens often focuses on identifying empowering ways to communicate feelings and needs, processing experiences related to grief, trauma, and other upsetting events, identifying and practicing ways to manage the various feelings that can so often be overlooked by the adults in their lives, and providing a validating and non-judgmental space for children and teens to explore the parts of themselves that are sometimes rejected or ridiculed by the world around them. My work with families often includes identifying appropriate boundaries and expectations in the home, identifying communication patterns that may cause challenges, finding ways to increase positive interactions and strengthen attachment between children and parents, and providing parents with support and education related to child development. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and am working on certification in both.

I believe my clients are experts on their lived experience. I believe my clients deserve trauma informed, inclusive, and affirming care.
