About My Clients

Does it ever feel like you have it all together on the outside, but inside things don't feel quite right? Or maybe you can tell exactly what the "problem" is, but don't know what to do next-- how does one actually feel their feelings? I'm here to help you along the way and tailor therapy to be the right fit for you. Whether it's navigating anxiety, depression, the state of the world, generational trauma, identities, or all of the above.

My Background and Approach

My style of therapy is client-centered, so I use culturally sensitive and trauma-informed tools as well as a compassionate and collaborative approach to prioritize your specific needs. I want my clients to feel empowered in their mental health journey by providing an understanding of the things you bring to sessions and equip you with tools that you can apply in various circumstances when navigating life stressors. These tools can look like techniques to manage anxiety, panic attacks, low moments, difficult conversations, and more depending on what we are working on. My desire is to help you feel more in control of your thoughts and feelings and help you feel ready to continue managing the different hardships life can bring.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healthcare is a right and hope to make things more easily accessible. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and identities, and specialize in working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients. My practice is dedicated to fostering social justice and challenging systems of oppression. Personally, I grew up in an environment that did not welcome therapy or see the utility of it. Mental health was a taboo topic and resources were not available. This influences my desire to help clients that may have felt similarly at some point, or even still do. I know therapy can be confusing, exhausting, and even scary-- my approach makes it so that it doesn't have to be. I want you to be comfortable bringing your authentic self to session. If this sounds like a good fit and you'd like to learn more about working together, please feel free to reach out to me.
