About My Clients
I specialize in working with anyone who has a trauma history, women, lesbians and any member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am passionate about social and racial justice and strive to provide culturally competent care to people from diverse ethnic and racial identities and experiences. I provide a soft place to land, and I am a supportive guide towards more inner peace. I also love to support anyone going through major life transitions and young adults launching into adulthood.
My Background and Approach
My work as a therapist is informed by my previous training and experience that creates a focus on the integration of Body-Mind-Spirit as an avenue to support mental health. I am educated and experienced as a bodywork practitioner of Reiki, Polarity and Cranial Sacral Biodynamics. Additionally, my support of women includes my education and training as a birth doula who attended at many births. My theoretical orientation is based in Adlerian theory which investigates how a person’s social role in their family environment during their upbringing is a crucial component to how they learn to behave in relationships as an adult and respond to stressors. My approach is warm, humanistic, friendly, and encouraging. I believe that my clients truly know what is best for their life and supports their autonomy, even if they feel they have lost their way. I provide skills for regulation of one’s emotions, energy, and nervous system to decrease anxiety, depression, and trauma response.
