About My Clients
I work with teens/young adults because I have first-hand experience dealing with this cohort daily while coaching sports at Newport Harbor High School. I have experience working at a college providing therapy to young adults. I ran groups at HOAG Hospital for family members and those who have addiction issues, so I know how the disease works in the individual and within the family system. I have provided couples counseling to numerous couples seeking to bring about change in their relationship.
My Background and Approach
Throughout my clinical career, I have been exposed to and actively utilized multiple therapeutic modalities when working with diverse populations, including teens and young adults, individuals struggling with addiction and their family members, and couples navigating the many pressures of modern life. Each of these groups presents with unique developmental, emotional, and relational challenges. Because of this diversity, I approach therapy with flexibility, depth, and intention. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model of treatment. I thoughtfully integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), depending on the needs, goals, and circumstances of each client.
