About My Clients

I specialize in working with people who are recovering from psychological, emotional, and/or physical abuse; having difficulties with thoughts of ending their own life; or looking to recover from trauma. Our bodies and minds can go through intense distress affecting us in complicated ways and we have the ability to grow or change in spite of our experiences. Life can be challenging and so can therapy, especially when you are rediscovering yourself. Let's help you move forward!

My Background and Approach

I believe clients are their own experts and I'm looking to help discover that with you. No matter if you want to shoot for the moon with lofty goals or simply need a space to be heard and process, I'm ready to meet you where you are. Your story helped you get this far and I'd love to help you be the author moving forward. I often utilize narrative and existential therapy treatment to help you reframe your story using evidence based practices such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure/Response Prevention Therapy. These treatments work to help alleviate symptoms of trauma as well as maladaptive thought and behavior patterns to help bring out the best version of you! My background before entering to private practice was working at a domestic violence non-profit in the north DFW area. I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas at Dallas.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe everyone is capable of change and growth if they seek it. People only work with what they know, so I'd love to help build a toolbox for you to use the tools you need to build a solid foundation. The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the counseling process. I appreciate learning about your background, culture, story, and meeting clients where they're at to best serve the counseling experience. I consider myself a nerdy person loving all things movies, music, anime, comics, videogames, and more. The Houston Texans are my favorite team, but if you're not into sports ball, that's okay too! I do my best to learn about you no matter your background as I love to learn from people different from me. The world is too small to not appreciate something from everyone if they're willing to share their story.
