About My Clients
I have worked with individuals facing domestic violence, religious trauma, childhood trauma, systemic oppression, substance use challenges, and grief following the loss of a loved one. Additionally, I work with individuals who are working through depression and anxiety. I am an affirming therapist and strive to create a non-judgmental, safe, affirming, empathetic, and comfortable environment that fosters personal growth and healing.
My Background and Approach
In my practice, I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and have experience with Interference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My goal is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with those parts of yourself and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. I completed my internship at two therapy practices, one of which was Affirming You. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. I supported individuals facing domestic violence, religious trauma, childhood trauma, systemic oppression, substance use challenges, and grief following the loss of a loved one. My decision to stay with Affirming You was strongly influenced by the organization’s commitment to providing gender-affirming care to the community. Life throws a lot at us, and sometimes we lose sight of all the beautiful things that make us who we are.
