Many of the individuals that I work with come to me with thoughts or feelings of; " I am not enough" "I don't deserve to be loved" "This is the way my life is" "This is just my luck" "I know something will go wrong" " I am never good enough" "It never works out for me" If having these thoughts and feelings is making you feel stuck in life, I am confident that in our time together, you can uncover and learn the tools you need to change your life.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling and online therapy is humanistic and person-centered. This means that I accept you for who you are and where you are. I take the time to understand your past and how events from this time shape your current emotional state and impact the vision you have of your future. With a trauma-focused perspective and at a pace you are comfortable with, we explore how these past events may have impacted your development in a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment. Virtual counselling can still provide an incredible opportunity to be seen and heard.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do not like the word 'client.' To me the person sitting across from me is another human being. A human being who wants to be seen, heard, cared about and believed in. That is what I promise to provide to the individuals I have the humble honor of working with. I do not promise to have all the answers (when you find a counselor who does let me know I will hire them!) I do not give advice (there's plenty of people out there who can give you that for free!) What I provide is a safe and trusting place for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions free of judgement.
