About My Clients

I help my clients explore what it means to live a life worth living - whatever that means for them.

My Background and Approach

I’m a queer therapist, Zen practitioner, and former LGBTQ+ rights activist with a deep commitment to authenticity, justice, and meaningful connection. Before becoming a therapist, I spent ten years working in the marriage equality movement—an experience that continues to shape my belief in human dignity and the healing power of relationship. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Goddard College with a focus on Sexual Orientation and specialized training in working with LGBTQ+ clients. I serve on the board of Existential-Humanistic Northwest and am currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Change at Antioch University, where I study how to create more ethical, human-centered models of leadership and care. My work is grounded in existential-humanistic values: presence, freedom, integrity, and responsibility. I’m especially passionate about supporting clients navigating depression, anxiety, identity, life transitions, LGBTQ+ experiences, and nontraditional relatio

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe each of us holds the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My approach is rooted in Existential-Humanistic therapy, which centers on exploring what it means to live authentically and intentionally. Together, we’ll examine themes like choice, responsibility, meaning, and purpose—so you can better understand yourself and how you want to show up in the world. Often, we suffer when there’s a painful gap between how life is and how we long for it to be. This can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or like life is happening to us instead of through us. In our work, I’ll help you slow down, reflect deeply, and reconnect with your sense of agency. My goal is to support you in living with more freedom, clarity, and integrity—aligned with your values and in relationship with what truly matters to you.
