About My Clients
I specialize in working with children, teens and adults who are creative and expressive and struggle with anxiety and depression.
My Background and Approach
I am originally from Armenia and I specialize in eastern European populations. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Art Studio and Art History in 2005 from the University of South Carolina. I completed my Master’s Degree in Art Education and upon completion, I taught middle school art for six years at a Title One School. I wanted to shift into mental health after learning about their personal struggles while in class. I decided teaching art did not feel as important as listening and treating mental illness. I completed my second Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art therapy at Lesley University. I enjoy working with the middle school and high school students struggling with depression, anxiety and family issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Art has played a big role in my life and has been a therapeutic outlet helping me through some difficult times. I have seen its affects on my life but also helping students and clients. I am excited to work in this field and am looking forward to continue to seeing what art therapy can do.
