About My Clients
I specialize in supporting clients who have been impacted by trauma and anxiety. For some clients that means dealing with PTSD, depression, OCD, and for others it means sleepless nights. I use evidence based treatments collaboratively with clients. I care deeply about providing culturally competent care and tailoring treatment to each individual. I want you to feel supported in the therapy process, making progress towards your goals, and getting closer to living your most meaningful life.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, primarily focused on public service. I established my private practice, Renewal Psychology, to offer evidence based and culturally sensitive services to clients in Washington and any PSYPACT state. I am currently offering services exclusively via telehealth. Available treatments include, but are not limited to: Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression/Anxiety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia/Nightmares, Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Motivational Interviewing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our cultural lenses and background significantly impact how we see ourselves, other people, and the world. Stigma about mental health has kept so many folks from getting the care they deserve. I care deeply about being an ethical and culturally humble provider. The discipline of psychology has caused significant harm to oppressed people, and I believe each psychologist carries responsibility for this harm. I work hard to engage myself and my peers in a constant process of learning, growth, and accountability. It is my honor to be able to get to know my clients in therapy, and carry the torch of hope for them in moments they may be seeing mostly darkness. There are effective treatments out there for PTSD, depression, insomnia, and anxiety - but it's not always easy to find the right provider. I truly care about being on your team and supporting you in whatever challenge you may be facing.
