About My Clients
My ideal client's issues include depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment injuries, and/or ADHD. Their goals are to integrate what's already working in their life with new skills to achieve relief from symptoms, create joy in their life, and increase their self-reliance.
My Background and Approach
Russ earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Utah and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, developing a comprehensive understanding of mental health care at multiple levels of intervention. His focus has primarily been on adolescents and family systems, where he uses a collaborative and encouraging approach to foster growth through effective use of coping skills, and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Russell’s professional style is characterized by validation and encouragement. He integrates several therapeutic modalities to offer a well-rounded and successful approach to therapy: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Theory, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). These approaches allow him to tailor his therapy to each client’s unique needs, helping them build emotional resilience, navigate family dynamics, and develop practical skills for managing life’s challenges.
