About My Clients
You didn't come here to relive your worst week for the hundredth time. You came because something needs to change, and you're ready to work toward it. Most therapy dwells on the problem. I focus on solutions: what's working, what you want, and how we get there. I often work with people navigating loneliness and isolation, depression, life transitions, ADHD, shame that keeps replaying on a loop, anxiety, and a changing world shaped by AI, where work, identity, and relationships keep shifting, th
My Background and Approach
I specialize in Solution-Focused Therapy, supplemented by person-centered counseling. Rather than analyzing what went wrong or digging through the past, I help you build a clear, practical path toward what you want next, using strengths and resources you already have. Depending on what's most useful in the moment, that might mean exploring your motivation for change, or reframing the story you tell about yourself, always in service of real clarity and real next steps. I work with clients across Texas via telehealth, with some in-person sessions available. You're the expert on your own life. My job is to ask the right questions and help turn your answers into real steps forward, not to tell you what to do, but to help you figure out what's already working and build on it. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I don't take that lightly. I have deep roots in this area and a long-standing connection to the people who call it home.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people aren't broken. I believe the patterns that bring people to therapy are learned, which means they can be unlearned. Loneliness, shame that loops, anxiety about a world that keeps shifting, none of that is a life sentence. It's a starting point. I live with ADHD myself, and I know what it's like to feel like your own brain is working against you. Learning to work with it instead of fighting it changed how I move through the world, and it's part of why I do this work the way I do: practical, forward focused, no judgment. I believe you're the expert on your own life, not me. My job is to ask good questions and help you build on what's already working. I'm an active member of the American Counseling Association and take the ethics of this profession seriously. I don't discriminate against anyone, for any reason. If any of this resonates, I'd love to hear from you.
