About My Clients
Currently, my use of humor and genuineness creates a safe space for adults to explore a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse, multi-cultural families, systemic racism, and co-occurring issues (to name a few). I enjoy working with adults of all ages who are looking to develop insight into themselves and implement behavioral adjustments which can create lasting changes in their lives.
My Background and Approach
I employ Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic therapy techniques to assist my clients with their mental health struggles. I am a strengths-focused clinician who collaborates with my clients to challenge faulty thinking and behavior patterns, and implement coping skills. My use of humor, strengths, and values cultivates alternative options for people to employ in their lives and bring about the change that they want to see.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the therapist is a tool that the client implements to bring about change and live a more authentic version of their life. My goal in all therapeutic interactions is to assist people in living a life that brings them contentment. Life can be challenging and overwhelming at times. Seeking treatment is a great act of bravery and a commitment to hope. I see the tenacity of the human spirit as nothing short of miraculous, and would be honored to work alongside you on your journey toward mental health wellness.
