Therapy is a place you can expect to feel safe, validated and supported. You will bring curiosity, openness, and desire to change. I will provide safety, compassion, and practical skills for managing the challenges of everyday life.
My Background and Approach
I integrate techniques from evidence-based approaches including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Building a safe, trusting, therapeutic relationship is central to my process. I work from a solid foundation of empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I enjoy and have experience working with clients of all backgrounds and demographics. I affirm and support those who identify along the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. Therapy is a collaborative process. We are both climbing our own mountains. I offer another perspective as you climb. As we engage in our work together, you will get better at climbing your mountain and be able to more fully appreciate the journey. Together we can create a path to your best life fully in the present.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I recognize and value the importance of your multi-dimensional identity and how it impacts your experience of the world—and how the world responds to you. Social justice and culturally responsive practices are values I bring to our work and I am HAES-aligned. My aim is to help you be more present and compassionate in your daily life, discover what is most important to you, and take action to create your most meaningful and fulfilling life. It takes courage to reach out for help. I would be honored to accompany and support you on the journey of self-discovery, personal growth, and change that comes with therapy.
