About My Clients
Grief & loss are one of the most isolating life events. Our friends & loved ones might have the best intentions, but sometimes it can feel like they just don't "get it" when it comes to describing the pain. Additionally, having a baby, whether in a relationship or not, can be equally as isolating, especially if you feel like your transition to parenthood is not what you thought it would be. These shifts in identity are my areas of strength, and I'm excited to work through them with you.
My Background and Approach
I’m passionate about individual and relational growth and looking at each person in the room in the context of the system from which they come. I practice through a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens, which means I recognize the importance of meeting you where you are in your journey toward healing. My practice is rooted in a narrative approach to therapy, which acknowledges the powerful healing that can take place in our storytelling. I view therapy as a collaborative process - one that actively involves all people in the room. I am also a firm believer that, while I completed a master's degree and intensive clinical training to enter this field, I will never complete my learning journey; I am constantly looking for seminars and trainings to attend that will enhance my skills as your therapist so that I am better able to tailor my approach to your specific needs.
