About My Clients
You may be the dependable one in your family while privately feeling stuck, resentful or unsure which choices are truly yours. People-pleasing, intergenerational expectations and creative or career burnout can make it hard to hear your own voice. I work with first-generation and bicultural adults who want to understand old roles, set boundaries with care and make more room for identity, rest and self-expression.
My Background and Approach
I combine art therapy with psychodynamic and person-centered work. You do not need to be an artist or make anything in session; creative methods are simply another way to explore what words cannot always hold. We may look at how family history is showing up in the present, notice a role you automatically step into or use imagery and reflection to understand conflicting needs. My style is warm, curious and grounded. I will respect your pace while helping you move from insight toward boundaries and choices that feel more like your own.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am Arab, first generation and the child of immigrants, as well as an artist and career changer. Growing up in a multilingual, bicultural home shaped my understanding of belonging, responsibility and the tension between collective and individual needs. I believe creativity can help people reclaim parts of themselves that have gone quiet. Therapy should honor culture without treating it as a problem to solve.
