About My Clients
Scrolling through social media, we live in a culture of comparison. We think to ourselves, "they" have the "perfect" career, body, relationship, life, and feel that we somehow fall short. In isolation, we have been forced to look closely at all aspects of our lives. The "I wish" and "what ifs" can leave us feeling depressed about our current state and anxious for our futures. I will help you sort through these emotions and will give you the tools to make lasting changes to your life.
My Background and Approach
As the daughter of an immigrant mother and coming from a multi-ethnic background, I take pride in my second-generation experience. Understanding family history, cultural influences, and generational cycles of behavior is key to understanding how we got here and how to move forward. I have a broad range of clinical experience, from working with toddlers with cognitive delays to older adults (65+) with severe mental illnesses. I have worked with children, teens, and adults with anxiety, depression, autism, postpartum struggles, survivors of domestic violence, survivors of sexual assault, and PTSD.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Throughout my time in the mental health industry, I have found that regardless of the types of tools used, orientation followed, or client characteristics, the most crucial determinant of a client's success in therapy is the relationship they hold with their therapist. I want to provide you with the safe space you need to explore the issues you've been struggling with. Together we can collaborate and develop tangible solutions that provide you with real relief.
