About My Clients

My clients are adults, couples, and polycules. I believe deeply in a strengths-based approach to treatment in client-centered therapeutic space that is hallmarked by non-judgment and unconditional positive regard. My practice embraces the social work tradition of considering clients' whole biopsychosocial selves. Together, we will explore connections among your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and somatic experiences to support you reaching your therapeutic goals.

My Background and Approach

As a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker working in private practice, I offer neuroscience-informed therapy, integrating principles from the structure and function of the brain and nervous system to treat behavioral and mental health challenges. I transitioned to a career in therapy after significant careers in both high tech and higher education alongside dedicated volunteerism in crisis counseling, medical care for the unhoused community, coaching youth basketball, and community arts. Originally, I hail from Appalachia and have experienced marriage, divorce, dating, parenting, launching children from the nest, life-threatening illness, loved ones’ addictions, and grief and loss. I draw from my education and training as well as from my personal life experience to offer empathy and connection with my clients along their therapeutic journeys.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is steadfast. Outside of work, I devote time to LGBTQIA+ advocacy and various social justice pursuits, especially decarceration work. Please know that I actively disavow all racism, xenophobia, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, ageism, classism, ableism, and hate speech or actions that attempt to silence, threaten, and marginalize. I believe that we all have a fundamental right to feel safe.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
