I am a queer and transmasculine identified family therapist practicing in Central Massachusetts.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in West Boylston, MA
Supervised by Kiran Arora, PHD, LMFT
Because of my expertise in family work, I am an advocate for internal family systems work, through the lens of Richard Schwartz. I have taken multiple trainings in IFS done by Richard Schwartz, read extensive texts, and I am working toward certification.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am highly influenced by Virginia Satir, who valued clear and direct communication, warmth, and compassion. In her practice, she modeled genuine human connection, which is a large part of my practice.
About a third of the cases I see regularly are in intimate partnerships. Because of my degree in marriage and family therapy, I have special expertise in treating couples. I have course background work in couples therapy, have taken trainings on working with couples, and continue to be a lifelong learner in how to support family dynamics. In my couples practice, I am most influenced by Esther Perel, John Gottman, and Salvador Minuchin.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that the systems we come from and participate in largely influence our mental health. I find family systems work to be some of the most exciting work I engage in. I am influenced most by Virginia Satir, Michael White, and Salvador Minuchin.
As a queer and transgender man, I have extensive expertise in treatment LGBTQ+ issues. I am most interested in working with folks who are struggling with identity issues (i.e. sexuality and gender). I offer special expertise in supporting those who have been rejected from their family of origin or spiritual communities.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, one of the treatments I am most passionate about is intimate partner therapy. I am influenced most by John Gottman, Esther Perel, Salvador Minuchin, and Richard Schwartz in my treatment of partners.
