About My Clients
Are you looking for a therapy that could bring back the interest in your own life? Are you tired of being told what to do without a space for honoring what you already know? I have heard so many clients complaining about being treated poorly, so we focus on making everyone feel at home in a safe space where we can process difficult experiences and emotions while talking, playing, drawing, learning body awareness, sharing music or journal entries, among others.
My Background and Approach
With systemic relational lenses, a social justice and cultural humility perspective, we provide bilingual and bicultural affirming care counseling. Trained as a Medical Family Therapist, I developed programs for children and families with chronic and health challenging conditions like diabetes, overweight, disabilities, among others. I am passionate about working with children, teens and adults and have had great experiences in support and therapeutic groups. I believe that therapy is a co-creation of possibilities where the approaches we will explore together the approach, frequency, length and modality of therapy that suits you better. My vast experience as a therapist, coach, community worker, supervisor and faculty has brought a myriad of tools that will help you regain hope in your life and relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With a special interest, as an immigrant, in the QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community, I worked for 6 years developing curriculums for Mental and Physical Health about prevention, education, and early intervention for immigrant families in Santa Ana, CA while collaborated with community clinics and institutions. Now in WA, my private practice has a strong collaboration with local organizations in Monroe, WA such as Take The Next Step, the Monroe School District, the Senior Center, among others. I strongly believe in mentoring new generations and that is why I supervise interns and associates from diverse Universities. My goal is contributing to our counseling profession and inviting new generations to keep the passion for creative and inclusive practices.
