About My Clients
You are not alone!! Everyone has suffered trauma. Waves of panic and pain can surface at any time or you may feel completely taken under. I do not want you to suffer any longer. My counseling work serves children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and other mental health difficulties resulting from various forms of trauma. I look forward to working with you bring healing, hope, and restore your joy.
My Background and Approach
My primary approach to counseling is person-centered, mindfulness-based techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I attempt to build a strong empathetic therapeutic relationship and work together with my clients to recognize and change unhealthy, unhelpful and learned behaviors to bring healing. The tools you will learn include an understanding of the body's reaction to trauma and can be used to remove fear, anxiety, and the uncomfortable physical and mental results of trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing from trauma is possible and life changing. Trauma happened to you, it does not define you. You can lead a healthy, happy, and hope filled life. You do not always have to feel this way. Healing is possible!
