About My Clients
I provide psychotherapy to individuals and groups 18+ who have experienced trauma and various challenges and diagnoses, including: Interpersonal Relationships, Life Transitions, PTSD, Guilt & Shame, Chronic Pain/Illness, Exploring Identity & Sexuality, Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Grief & Loss. In our work together, you may learn the practice of accessing an observing, non-judgmental state of mind, body, and spirit.
My Background and Approach
I provide therapy that is open, curious, authentic, engaging, genuine, and non-judgmental. I utilize a combination of evidence-based and somatic techniques, honoring each individual's uniqueness and pacing. I am a passionate mental health counselor who focuses fully on you and your needs. I am considered an eclectic therapist, which means my approach is flexible and individualized. I utilize various evidence-based and person-centered approaches to therapy, including somatic techniques. I have over 14 years of experience helping youth, adults, and families through trauma, relationship challenges, and navigating life transitions. I am a Pennsylvania-licensed Associate Professional Counselor, LAPC (#APC000798), and a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) under supervision of Amber Lynn Connell, MA, LPC (PC006684). I am a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), a Certified Telemental Health Provider - Associate (CTMH-A), and a member of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Some of my values are listed below: I genuinely love to learn about people and am so grateful to do this work! Instilling Hope: I hold space for one’s thoughts and beliefs and expose the parts I see in others that are strengths, resilience, and survival. Exploration: I encourage deeper self-exploration in an accessible, safe way. For each person, this may look different, with sensitivity to their pace. Empowerment: I help those to develop in a way that serves their purpose and work to have their needs met with confidence and self-reliance. Cultural Sensitivity: I take a genuine interest in and curiosity about others’ lived experiences and worldviews and hold space to recognize a person's needs, values, and interests.
