About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples navigating the journey of parenthood - from infertility & loss, to pregnancy, postpartum, and early childhood. My practice also resonates with healthcare professionals seeking support in processing their daily experiences. I welcome clients ages 5+, with special expertise in parent-child relationships. Whether you're seeking stability during a major life change, managing a new ADHD diagnosis, or working through mood challenges, I am here to support you.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style blends cognitive behavioral therapy principles with a deeply person-centered approach. Drawing from my bachelor's degree in child development and master's in social work from Boston University, I bring a unique perspective that combines mental health expertise with deep understanding of human development. My experience in hospital settings, particularly in labor and delivery and NICU units, informs my work with perinatal clients. I'm currently pursuing my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), reflecting my commitment to specialized care for growing families. I believe therapy should feel authentic and natural while remaining purposeful. Rather than rigid structured sessions, I offer a flexible approach that incorporates CBT principles in an organic way that feels true to you and your journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At the core of my practice is the fundamental belief that every person deserves respect, dignity, and compassionate care. With a Christian background and as an active LGBTQ+ ally, I bring a unique perspective that bridges faith and inclusivity. I'm comfortable incorporating faith-based elements for clients who desire this while maintaining an affirming, inclusive space for all. My approach emphasizes meeting clients where they are, acknowledging that everyone's path to stability and growth looks different. My job is to provide the support and scaffolding that allows you to be your best self, whatever that may look like.
