About My Clients
I work with adults and teens, often those who are autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD, whether that comes from a formal diagnosis, self-discovery, or realizing it later in life. Many have spent years masking, overanalyzing, and bracing for things to go wrong just to feel safe. Underneath that might be trauma or complex trauma (cPTSD), along with anxiety or OCD-spectrum struggles that show up in the body as much as the mind. Here, you don't have to mask, and you get to feel more at home in yourself.
My Background and Approach
I'm an intern therapist completing my master's in clinical mental health counseling at Walden University, supervised by Leslie Fleming, LMHC. I've spent eight years in crisis work and substance use recovery counseling. That work taught me to be present in the moment, to accept the wide diversity of human experience, and to value relational space as something sacred, where healing and change happen. In sessions, I lean on somatic and CBT tools to help you notice patterns in your body and your thinking, draw on Internal Family Systems to work with different parts of yourself, and use an interpersonal lens to help make sense of confusing relational interactions. My lens is trauma-informed, with a strength-based focus on what's already working for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Society has forced a lot of people to hide their differences to fit in. I love differences. They're what make us unique, and they're how we learn, grow, change, and connect. In my work, that means being neurodiversity-affirming and practicing harm reduction. I'm also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
