About My Clients

I work with adolescents and young adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, academic pressure, or major life transitions. Many of my clients are students balancing school demands, identity development, and family expectations, or young adults navigating changes related to college, work, or independence. Clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, emotionally drained, or unsure how to cope, and are looking for a supportive space to better understand themselves and build

My Background and Approach

My work is grounded in a trauma informed, collaborative approach that centers safety, trust, and respect for each client’s lived experience. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and interpersonal therapy, tailoring sessions to meet each person’s goals, strengths, and pace. Therapy with me is active and supportive, with a balance of reflection, skill building, and practical strategies that can be applied outside of session. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults, particularly those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, academic stress, and life transitions. I am especially attentive to how cultural background, family dynamics, and educational systems shape emotional wellbeing. In addition to therapy, I provide comprehensive psychological assessments for students seeking clarity around learning differences, mental health needs, and academic accommodations.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and understood within the context of their lived experiences. I value collaboration, honesty, and curiosity, and I approach therapy as a space where people can explore their emotions without judgment. I believe healing is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about building insight, resilience, and skills that support meaningful change. I am committed to culturally responsive and trauma informed care, and I recognize how culture, identity, family systems, and educational environments shape mental health. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them with compassion, structure, and practical support as they work toward their goals.
