I believe that suffering is a very difficult but also extremely normal part of being a human. It may sound cliché, but it is often during these challenging times that we can experience the most profound growth as individuals and within our relationships. Instead of trying to avoid or "get rid" of your emotions, I will encourage you to be curious and nonjudgmental about your inner experiences during therapy, so that you can use this information to create meaningful changes in your life.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist in Texas providing individual and couples therapy. My therapeutic approach is tailored to each client's specific needs and goals, but I often incorporate mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy (CFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and attachment-based/relational approaches. I welcome any questions you may have about these approaches and the therapy process. I am currently offering both virtual and in-person sessions, as well as evening and weekend appointments as needed.
