About My Clients
I love working with people who are healing from complex relational trauma (religious trauma, family trauma, and emotional abuse), codependency, and perfectionism. I am affirming of ethical non-monogamy/polyamory and experienced at helping people navigate open relationships. And I love working with creatives and entrepreneurs!
My Background and Approach
My clients enjoy working with me because I’m easygoing, collaborative, and interactive, and I make therapy feel safe, warm, and fun. I am intuitive and love helping you “connect the dots” and untangle the complicated bundle of beliefs, experiences, and emotions that come from living through trauma. I’m able to bring my own lived experience to the table in a safe and boundaried way, and I draw on that to support you through your journey. I am warm, kind, and gentle, and I’m also not afraid to challenge you. I’m not the kind of therapist that will only listen and then say “how does that make you feel?” (although I will ask you that a lot!). I am interactive and enjoy back-and forth dialogue, asking thought provoking questions, and bringing laughter into our sessions. My clients frequently say “Woah- that’s a great question!”, and I am not above referencing a meme or a TikTok.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work from an integrative, intersectional, non-religious, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive lens. I am deeply committed to antiracist and LGBTQIA+ inclusive work and advocacy, both professionally and personally. I am a HAES (Health At Every Size) informed human being, and ALL people in ALL bodies are welcome in this space.
