About My Clients
I work primarily with BIPOC individuals and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, supporting clients as they navigate depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship challenges, identity, and life transitions. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic environment where clients from marginalized and underserved communities feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.
My Background and Approach
My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally attuned to the unique experiences and needs each client brings. I strive to create an empathetic space where clients are encouraged to show up authentically, explore who they are and identify the changes they want to make in their lives. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) into my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer person of color, I strive to create a safe and open space for clients who are BIPOC and LGBTQIA+. The way I achieve this is by offering empathy and unconditional regard and meeting them where they are at in their life journey. It is so important for me to create a space in which my clients can be authentic and not have to mask. I believe having a space where my clients feel heard and can come as they are, can be healing.
