Are you concerned that your child isn't talking as much as they should? Do you have difficulty understanding what your child says? Does your child have difficulty following directions? I can help. I help children build the skills they need to clearly express themselves and better understand others! We realize how important communication is in everyday life. We are dedicated to helping your child thrive at school, at home, and in the community.
My Background and Approach
I have a variety of approaches that I have developed over the course of my career to fit each child's individual needs. The bulk of my experience includes working with children from diverse backgrounds with speech, language, and fluency disorders. I am very sensitive to cultural diversity and am able to distinguish between a speech and language disorder and a speech and language difference. I also have received training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe very strongly in honesty, fairness, and doing my best work. For this reason, if I do not believe that I am the right SLP for you, I will refer you to someone who might be a better fit. Not only that, but I will actively take it upon myself to assist you in your search if need be. In my practice, I want to treat each individual as I would like to be treated.
