About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples who feel stuck in painful cycles, emotionally disconnected, overwhelmed by conflict, or struggling to feel understood. I especially enjoy helping couples prepare for marriage, adjust to pregnancy or postpartum life, navigate parenting stress, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional safety. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning people with full lives who want more clarity, connection, and steadiness.
My Background and Approach
I bring both clinical training and lived relational experience to this work, including 16 years of marriage and parenting five children. Before becoming a therapist, I began supporting others in a coaching capacity in 2020, which deepened my desire to pursue formal graduate training in counseling. I am a relational therapist with specialized training in couples work, attachment, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation. I integrate EFT, IFS, Gottman Method interventions, ACT, and relational systems perspectives. I help individuals and couples identify painful patterns, strengthen communication, rebuild emotional safety, and create meaningful change. I especially enjoy supporting couples through premarital counseling, preparing for a baby, postpartum adjustment, parenting stress, disconnection, conflict, betrayal, and trust repair. My style is warm, engaged, direct, and deeply relational. I provide secure telehealth therapy across North Carolina.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe relationships shape so much of who we are — how we see ourselves, how safe we feel, and how we move through the world. I value authenticity, responsibility, compassion, growth, and meaningful connection. My work is grounded in the belief that healing often happens when people feel safe enough to be honest, understood, and gently challenged. Outside of therapy, I am a wife, mother of five children ranging from toddlerhood to the teenage years, and a doctoral student in counseling. I understand how easy it can be for couples and families to drift apart when life moves fast, days are full, and everyone is carrying so much. I love learning, writing, researching relationships, and creating resources that help people better understand themselves and move toward the people they love.
