About My Clients
My clients have traditionally been teens and young adults who are experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression. Whether this is from a recent life change, relationship concerns, or simply looking to become more in-touch with your identity, I am here to help and have experience with having these conversations in a way that will both challenge you and empower you!
My Background and Approach
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe maladaptive thought patterns. This approach empowers you to break free from unhelpful thinking and build healthier, more effective coping strategies. Additionally, I incorporate a Person-Centered approach, which focuses on exploring personal and cultural beliefs. I also use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy for clients that are looking for a short-term turnaround with immediate results. If you've seen yourself trying out multiple therapists, this approach might be for you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is capable of and worthy of living a fulfilling life. I am deeply passionate about this work—not just because of my professional expertise, but also because of my personal experiences. As an educator, I understand the profound impact of our thoughts on our well-being and everyday lives, and I am committed to helping you develop greater insight and healthier patterns for a more fulfilling life. Outside of being a therapist, I teach suicide awareness courses at colleges across the state of Missouri.
