About My Clients
Roger works with all adult age individuals and addresses many types of concerns including grief, anxiety, depression, stress and trauma. He is particularly skilled at working with couples trying to get their relationships back on track. Roger has been described as having a calm and caring personality that puts individuals at ease. He is empathetic and non-judgmental while remaining genuine and focused on goals in therapy.
My Background and Approach
Roger utilizes Gottman based couples counseling techniques and a variety of therapy methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and psycho-dynamic interventions to address the goals, barriers, and symptoms that a client is bringing into therapy. Roger's blend of empathy and focus on solutions has enabled him to help clients make important changes while feeling good in therapy. ·Roger has over 37 years experience providing individual, marriage, relationship, parenting and family counseling in both private-practice counseling and community/agency settings. ·Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois and Missouri ·Master of Social Work in Direct Practice from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri ·Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois
