About My Clients
My clients are often thoughtful and self-aware adults who may be struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or feeling emotionally stuck. Many are LGBTQ+ individuals exploring identity, relationships, and the impact of past experiences. They are often seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, healthier ways of coping with emotions, and greater connection in their lives.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual psychotherapy for adults in California, Florida, New York, and New Jersey. I have been working with clients since 2021 and specialize in trauma-informed therapy, particularly with LGBTQ+ adults. My clinical training includes EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems, approaches that help address the emotional and nervous system effects of trauma. As a queer immigrant and BIPOC therapist, I bring both personal and professional understanding to the ways identity, culture, and lived experience can shape mental health. I recognize how factors such as migration, cultural expectations, and minority stress can influence emotional wellbeing and relationships. My work is grounded in a warm, collaborative approach that integrates insight with attention to the body and nervous system. I aim to create an affirming space where clients can explore their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and work toward meaningful change
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect. Each person comes to therapy with a unique history, set of challenges, and inner resources. My role is not to “fix” clients but to support them in exploring their experiences, developing greater self-understanding, and discovering new ways of relating to themselves and others. I believe that many emotional struggles are shaped by past experiences, relationships, and broader social contexts. Healing often involves creating enough safety to gently explore these experiences while building new patterns that support emotional wellbeing. I also believe that the body and nervous system play an important role in how we experience stress, trauma, and connection. For this reason, I integrate approaches that support both emotional insight and greater regulation. Above all, I believe that meaningful change can happen within a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship.
